Behind every painting I do there is a moment of inspiration. This starts with a connection or perhaps a response to my environment. The practice of outdoor painting/sketching is my starting point. A workout for the eyes! The more I do the livelier and fresher the work; I see and notice the beauty of nature. I take this inspiration to the studio and develop the work onto canvas using palette knife on a gesso background
